ANALOGÍA DE LA IMAGEN – Miguel Böhmer

My body of work is the result of my ongoing fascination with the representation of different species of marine fauna and flora as a metaphor to the human body. Beyond the depiction of the human figure, I’m focused on the essential structure of the landscape of the marine figures. Regarding my perception, it is not simply a translation of the other, but instead one can be found in the other. It’s memory and power to transform beyond the water surface. The linen support acts as a transparent space where silence shows not to be an absence of something but the presence of everything.
